Joel Cheong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science from James Cook University, Singapore, and is trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy. He integrates approaches such as REBT and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy in his work, and is a certified member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT).

His interest in this field began long before it became a profession.

In his early 20s, Joel struggled with overthinking and experienced first-hand how it can shape both mental wellbeing and relationships. As he continued to reflect on his experiences, realised that insight alone was often not enough to create change, and understanding a pattern did not automatically mean being able to shift it.

This led him to therapeutic approaches that bridge awareness with action, where cognitive and behavioural techniques are used alongside hypnotherapy to support real, practical change.

Today, Joel’s work is grounded in that same intention: helping others move beyond awareness into meaningful, lasting change that feels practical and sustainable.
